FIVE LOAVES PHOTOGRAPHY
Frequently asked questions
Ordering too many or too few photos for the size of a property can be a problem. When the photographer is forced to take more photos of a space than it will naturally support, you end up with redundant, uninteresting photos. But if you order too few, the property’s features may not be adequately shown. Feel free to call us, and we’d be happy to give a recommendation.
As a rough guide, occupied homes that are 1,100-2,300 sqft should have 25 photos; 2,300-3,000 sqft might need 40 photos if the home is divided into more rooms or has special features that require more photos; over 3,000 sqft should probably have 40 photos. Note that vacant homes require fewer photos than occupied/staged homes because there are fewer visually interesting shots to be had.
You can use the recommendations below to estimate how many photos a property will need. Bedrooms: 2-3
Bathrooms:1
Master Bath: 1-3
Living rooms: 3-4
Kitchen:3-4
Dining:1-2
Front Yard:1-4
Back Yard: 2-4 (some may require more)
For the very best photos, we want to capture the front of the house when it is getting direct sunlight so that it is not in shadow. However, we can still get great photos even if the appointment isn’t scheduled during that optimal time. Below are the recommended times of day based on the direction the house faces: East – Morning
West – Afternoon
South – All day
North – Does not get direct sunlight; overcast days and twilight appointments are the only times when the shadows will completely disappear.
You can download our guide to photo prep here.
Our most basic shoots take up to an hour. The total length of the appointment is displayed when placing an order, as well as on confirmation emails.
All photos will be delivered the next business day. Everything else, such as videos and virtual staging, are usually delivered within 2 business days.
When it is time to download your media, our system will prompt you make payment before it will enable downloads.
We can't. NTREIS has told us that having a photographer access an agent’s account to upload photos for them would be a violation of their rules and would put the agent at risk of suspension.
For photos, we can still get great results even in light rain. When necessary, we can digitally replace overcast skies. But if you would like to reschedule, let us know by the day before your appointment.
With videos, there’s very little we can do to alter the appearance of the exterior, and rain will show up. We highly recommend rescheduling.
If you choose not to reschedule and we need to make a second trip on another day to shoot exteriors, there will be a $50 fee and any travel fees will apply a second time.
No fee will be charged if you let us know before the day of the appointment. There is a same-day cancellation fee of $100 for daytime appointments and $125 for twilight appointments.
We've got a huge service area! The map below shows our core area, as well as what travel fees apply to areas that are further-out. When booking an appointment, if there is a travel fee for the location you have selected, it will be shown at the bottom of the page next to the order total.
No. It takes us about the same amount of time no matter how many drone photos we are taking. Because of this, we are unable to offer a discount for a reduced number of photos.
